Hi there, a wee update here, no news on the bloods re cushings and I'm holding off on weight taping her for a few days but she certainly hasn't lost any weight, she's been on gastroguard for 4 days now and she's got a bit more energy, trotting over for her meals. The other really strange thing is that whenever she ate before the gastroguard she would pull lots of funny faces, initially I assumed this might be her teeth, specifically food trapped in her diastema, but they were clear, there were also no glaring problems in the rest of the mouth. Well, since gastroguard she has completely stopped this behaviour! Little things, but Strange, I am now assuming that perhaps these faces were due to acid?!

Well it's a start, her appetite is good but not voracious like it was, and I think it's significant that the face pulling has stopped... You know the one I mean, when they look like they've just eaten a lemon!! She's still a scrawny ass, and a bit tucked up, but no where near as bad, she's only about 410kg at the mo but her gastroguard dose is for 575kg, vet said to hoof it into her for the first few days! If it all goes well ill be putting her on slippery elm and aloe Vera juice and probably keeping her on proteinex

Damn phone! And a blood tonic. She is still getting tired and yesterday I caught her manoeuvring herself up to Ben, so she could lean her back end against him like a prop, everytime he moved, she repositioned herself! It was like she was going to scratch her bum (thought it was this at first) but she just leant! Never seen this before in my life!! Plus one superficial but great thing is she is just standing there and letting me shove the syringe in her mouth, it's like she knows it's good for her :D I have a new computer which I'm going to bump start either today or tomorrow so will post some pictures x
