Echinacea

Hi, really daft question. Can you give Echinacea that is meant for humans to horses or do you need to buy special Echinacea just for horses???

Yes you can. People can have Dodson & Horrell herbs also but they are not licenced. Stroppy gelding has the effect i would like on my husband but it tastes bitter in his tea

we feed echinecae to our big boy during the winter to stop him coughing, however at 12 for 1kg of echinecea from d and h compared to the tablets which you would have to feed a lot of...it works out cheaoper..also remeber as with all homeopathic remedies it takes tim e to load into the system so if you want quick results you have to feed a lot as with humans in the first instance.....

Oh thats great, so if I bought some Echinacea tablets how many should I give per day?

You can get horse version from Hilton Herbs in liquid form which is absorbed more easily than the tablets

You can also buy Liquid Echinacea from Holland and Barrett cheaply. I think liquid is better to give, easier.
