I am going to have to buy my boy a new rug as the mediumweight combo turnout rugs he has are quite tight around the neck and are not adjustable (saxon and Horsatack own make ones). Finances right at this moment are a little bit tight so was looking to get an economy rug and if it only lasts one winter so be it! These are two that I am looking at but neither have shoulder gussets so worried about the fit.

I have had WB rugs before and do like them but not sure about the Genero? I quite like the look of the Masta but have heard so many bad comments about them (though daughters horse has a couple and they fit well and seem quite hard wearing?)

Any thoughts on these two rugs...or can anyone recommend a good economy rug for around £50? I have been looking at the Axiom rugs on ebay but keep getting outbid and I really need a rug in a hurry!

I love my masta rug - it fits my horse nicely and wasn't too expensive.
I ordered a wb turnout in his usual size (6'3) and it was like a mini skirt even though previous wb turnouts have been fine.

Ridelouk and Axiom on Ebay is a good source or Premier Equine .

If you've got £50 keep an eye on Derby house for discounts or buy 2nd hand off eBay - I work on a yard with 20+ horses all in DH turnouts of varying weights and I really rate them, some are a good few years old and still warm and waterproof.

ETA they've still got a good offer on which I so shouldn't have looked at as I'll always buy a few more - I have TBs living out in these, they are really very warm.

Last year I bought a brand new rug off ebay for £20.00 has some funny name beginning with
A. The price on it was £69,50 but apparently the woman found it in her garage at her new house when she moved there. The price new from the website was £89.99 and only difference is the colour is green and, mine is purple.
So keep an eye on ebay.

Have a look at AXIOM rugs on ebay. I have a few ranging from mw to hw with hoods. Around £45 buy it now or do have some for auction, got last one for £38 inc postage. Really pleased.
