Hi

I'm currently looking at the EDSS (Equine Digital Support System) for future use on my thin, flat soled laminitic horse and wondered if anyone has any feedback on them, either good or bad?

I have seen an example of EDSS, but it wasn't on a live horse.

Perhaps suggest reading Founder Prevention and Cure before trying these?

I use the emergency packs routinely on my laminitic cases. I beleive they do their job well -take preasure off the toes to relieve pain and support the sole to prevent founder. Ponies with acute laminitis are always more comfortable once I've put them on. Usually there on for a minimum of 1 month but I don't bother with the milder cases. They're quite easy to put on but it does take about 40mins for 2 feet. You have to be very careful to secure the pads on with a lot of duct tape so they don't slip. Slipped pads is worse then no pads. As with other full foot pads the foot will get thrushy underneath but this can be quickly rectified once removed. I have no experience of their more long term products - have always used imprint shoes for chronic cases.
