My mum accidentally left a box of chocolates on the sofa while she went to get a drink. Came back and they were gone but Barney wasn't eating them so assumed he didn't have them as normally he would ripping it up to get to the food. Searched the house top to bottom and found nothing so checked his bed and hidden under his quilt right at the back of his bed was the box of chocolates and I really mean hidden (quilt picked up and put carefully back over the top) untouched completely and not one single chocolate missing! I was in my room and my mum was in the kitchen so we can only assume he hid them to eat later when we weren't around

Honestly shocked, I didn't think a dog would think so far ahead especially Barney he's not the brightest spark bless him!
And all while watching don't blame the dog and being shocked at someone feeding their dog haribo :p

Oh very scary as that could have ended up as an expensive vet trip!!

Only once i've seen my little Pug x Boston take something and bury it, he did it in the corner of the sofa and sort of dug the throw out to recover it with his nose. Never done it before or since. Food usually doesn't even touch the sides of his mouth before swallowing down, let alone plan for later!

Brilliant :D
Our old spangle x used to pull out all the Christmas presents containing chocolate from under the tree and guard them from the other dogs  Wouldn't open them herself but once the tin of QS was opened she would carefully choose herself one when invited and bring it back to you to open it for her (she especially liked strawberry centres) after biting it just hard enough to ensure you wouldn't steal it from her - as if we would :p
