Wasn't really sure where to put this but i'm guessing you competition riders are likely to have more experience with this.

I'm interested in the effects of magnets with regards to their ability to speed up the healing process. Got a lame horse and bit of a long shot but i wanted to try magnets.

Not really sure what i'm looking at or where to get one from as i've had a quick look with the help of google and i've seen some rugs for £65 and others start at well over £300! Can anyone give me some more information or reccomend a place to get one from?

Magnets in leg wraps can work to increase healing in the limbs and are about £70 a pair
Generlly you get what you pay for, Bioflow and Armadillo are well known makes. More magnets, and more powerful and or paired ones, are pricier.

I use the Aerborne magnetic stable wraps and find them good for long term use. Steer clear of the neoprene[sp] as the manets increase bloodflow , cause some sweating and quite often a reaction.
i have found them to be of some use and i use them front and back on my older advanced horse he has them on at night.

If there is a chance of infection, magnets should not be used. If there is no chance they can work well. You can rent hand held magnetic field guns from a lot of good physiotherapists.
