hi
so i no that horses can get mud fever and it from mud and water and despite looking it up loads cants find a decent definination of how they get it, eg if it from getting wet and then drying out etc, i know its from the mud.
also im not a totally rubbish owner i know what it looks like, and she hasnt got it yet.

also what other problems can horses get from prolonged time stood on damp fields and in water at times.
does it affect hooves and frogs etc.

i would know if something was wrong but was wondering is there anything i can do to prevent it before it happens and do i need to.

apart from shutting her in her field shelter there is no was of taking her of the field

thank you in advance

I'd watch out for thrush, make sure you pick feet out daily. I like to clean, dry and apply an antibacterial spray as preventative as my girl has deep clefts.
