As the title goes, horse has had gastrogard ulcer treatment and as it is a difficult time of year to keep him ulcer free have got some Egusin but he is not liking the taste. He is quite fussy so any suggestions as to how to mask it. Have used treacle and Horlicks in the past with another fussy eater but not sure if either of those suitable for ulcer boy

Yes dampened feed. Thinking about it he preferred it last night when I put more water in though he still didn't eat it all. Grrrr

Have you put enough other feed in with it? It would effectively dilute the taste. I would give him more of the other stuff until he will eat it all, then gradually reduce. Or if you can't feed more then start with less of the Egusin and build it up gradually.

My mare can smell if I put anything in her dinner and refuses to eat it. If I have to give her anything I usually put it in with Fast Fibre and she will eat it.

Thanks for the above. There is plenty of other feed but I think I overfaced him with it on the first attempt and he has now got suspicious so have given him some plain feeds to get him eating again and now doing the gradual. Thanks re the dried mint suggestion, will try that if the gradual introducing doesn't work.
