...or she is capable of opening a heavy, 6ft tall wooden door with a latch only operable from the outside and which requires a hearty shove with your shoulder to pop out of the catch. 8ft brick walls all around, only enough space under the door to shove the tip of her nose through. Oh, and the rock that we use to prop the door open while taking the bins out had been used to prop it open.

Three cheers for the man at the garage down the road who brought her home for me, anyway, and he shall be on the receiving end of a pint if I see him again.

Still a bit shaken. She'd gone into the yard with her chew toy while I hoovered, as she hates the sound of the hoover, so I didn't hear anything going on outside. Feel like a very bad mum. :(

Off to Countrywide now to buy an extra latch for the inside of the door. Or possibly five different locking latches, proximity alarms and barbed wire, haven't quite decided yet.

She may have jumped. Huskys are great for climbing and jumping. Bear in mind the height of the scrabble boards and A-frames we use in trialling, it is possible.

Or someone has let her out. Glad you got her back! Why we use padlocks....

And opened the door behind her, propping it open with a large rock? :p I'm puzzled because I wouldn't have expected a human to do that either, surely they would have held the door open and then let it bang shut again (it's on a spring so it shuts).

She didn't get far, thank goodness, and very glad she had a collar and tag on.

Thank heavens you got her back quickly. All my runs have a bolt on the inside and you have to put your hand through a hole in the door to open them. A bolt on the inside of your yard door is definitely a good idea.

Yep, hence the 'or someone may have let her out' :p
Like I say, glad you got her back.
