He he I'm such a nervous nellie!! I've been riding this horse for about a month now and we are now going to try jumping :-) Last night I put loads of poles round the arena and practised cantering over them... She was such a good girl, quite strong but I really enjoyed it. I text her owner to say how good she was and she said we could jump her tonight... Ekkkk!

Lol, i'm going to put them all up at 2ft :). Tanner has actually evented to novice level so I don't think we have any worries lol. I'm just such a nervous nellie when it comes to jumping!

Any tips for a nice jumping excercise? We only have a 20x40 school so can't really put up a grid or anything to extensive... I was thinking two jumps on a 20m circle? I find that if I have a long run up I start fiddling and ruin her stride!

Ohh i remember how excited and nervous i was when i started jumping my share. And he's an arab lol. He jumps them at least a foot higher than they are, but thankfully isn't a typical cat leaper. I was scared though!

No suggestions for excercises though, i built up really slowly by just having three trotting poles, then raising the middle one at one end, then the other, then a bit higher etc etc (and removing back trotting pole) til we were jumping about 2foot. It was more so i didn't notice the height than him though lol!

Good luck, i'm sure you will both have tonnes of fun, especially if she's evented! :D
