Did anyone go last year to the camp (are there more than one??)? Any thoughts?

I quite fancy the idea of going away for a couple of days with my horse and Eland Lodge isn't too far for me. On paper the camps look excellent so I thought I might look into it for this year.

Is it for all levels, or is it a serious eventer's type camp?

Excellent, will look into it.

I am also going to go up there in March for one of their side saddle riding days. Do you fancy that?! Totally useless day as we will never do it as a job but I thought it would be something different

I'm thinking about going this year. I've always wanted to go to camp and it's not too far away for me. I've never experienced anything bad from Eland Lodge so hoping this will be good fun

I use EL regularly as it is close by they cater for all levels and have some good training days . I will be taking my rising five year old to the clinics and on the xc course this year.

That's what I was told about it! I think it looks excellent! And it's only something like £15 for the session!

adult camps are for all levels and are more fun than serious eventer type. We ran 2 for the first time last year and both were very successfull, everyone had a great time!

You will get tuition in Dressage, show jumping and cross country and on the final day last year everyone did a sort of one day event without it actually being a competiton so you did each discipline but the instructors were there to help you round the sj course and out on the xc - bit of fun and a good practice for the real thing!

We held evening demos from grand prix dressage demo, grid work and dressage to music to sidesaddle.

The food is fantastic - something people were a little worried about, but Veronica Coupland is an amazing cook and campers were very well fed with lots of homemade meals.

A lot of people from last year have already signed up to come back this summer

Ask away if you need info - we havent confirmed a time table or which instructors will be here this summer yet
