Just arrived home from an amazing few days at our first ever camp! My butt cheeks hurt like never before and I feel like a broken woman but it was so worth it!
We arrived the night before to settle Rocks so he could have a decent rest before the start of camp. It's a good 3.5/4hr drive for us, he settled so quickly considering he's never had a stay away ever!! Sleeping arrangements... I know who pulled the short straw!

The first morning was glorious, we had SJ in the morning followed by Dressage.

Obviously Rocky wanted to be an overachiever from the start
I mainly do flat stuff with him like BD and a little bit of showing.
He does absolutely love his jumping but can be a real wimp when it comes to fillers so is pretty green and needs a lot of confidence from me which isn't always there.. but in all fairness to him he hasn't done a lot of jumping at all.

He was such a good boy though and only ducked out at one which was the second part of a double that happened to have a little filler in it!
Ann our instructor was amazing she gave me so much confidence and pushed me but in a really encouraging positive way, we even did a 1m!
A few months ago I was worrying over a baby 50cm working hunter class

Unfortunately didn't get any photos of the dressage lesson but he was really well behaved, just absolutely knackered
We had XC on the second day, this was a little interesting. Rocky has done XC about 5/6 times previously so is again green, the ground was really wet and muddy.
The little diva had a couple of tantrums at the start because he refused to jump if there was a puddle before the jump and there were many..
We couldn't get over a 50cm at one point he was just throwing his toys out the pram.
After accepting the fact he was going to get his hooves wet and having a little blast to open him up he was quite happy to pop most things, took him a while to figure out horsewear island
Got too deep to this, saw the puddle on the other side and decided launching to space was a safer option..

Water phobia wasn't there this time!

Yes he's a tiny 15hh but we are on a hill too
