I bought an energiser from Robinsons Country Leisure as ours broke and I needed one straight away, it was the dearer one (about £120) sorry cant remember the exact model but it has been great. Far better than the more expensive one it replaced. It is run by a leisure battery and never seems to need recharging.
I did buy a starter kit years ago but the posts werent very tall so I ended up replacing them and the energiser somehow got water in it and packed in.
We but a bucket over the energiser now to protect it from rain even though it says its weatherproof.
All I can advise is to pay a bit more for posts and tape as they will then last years and if you are doing a long run, put some wooden fence posts in every so often to help stabilise your fence.

Hotline - fantastic customer service, 2yr guaruntee (sp) reasonable price and lasts years!! - mine is over 10 years old and still going strong!
