Get a car battery and an adaptor that's what I use on my fencer unit its not the same as yours but same principle.
It is basically some wires with bulldog clips to attach to the battery and wires wrap round the unit ( ie balck and red)
I also use a solar panel to keep a charge going all the time too
Don't know if this is what you need but it seems to say all the right things..

Thanks :)

I was going to get a car battery but someone told me a battery like the above would do the same job.

I'll take a look at your link, thankyou! :)

I thought you weren't meant to use car batteries. I've used something called a leisure battery as recommended in energiser instructions. Don't really know how it differs from car batteries but someone on here might know (or try google)

I have used both car and pleasure batteries. The latter are much more expensive but I've found that the charge lasts for months (rather than weeks with a car) and the life of them is greatly increased. I'd say if you don't mind recharging the car batteries regularly go for it, but if you are like me and prefer to charge only a few times a year the pleasure batteries are the way to go!

both work, my car battery (got free from scrap yard 2 years ago now) is still gonig strong & zapping the seven bells out of anything dim enough to test the fence. we have a solar panel on it so it trickle feed tops up days.
neighbours have leisure battery on theirs & have had it stolen 5 time in the lasst 12 months (much more versitile & therefore worth nicking)

Leisure batteries will last longer and are designed for use for long periods without charge and can also be left on charge overnight... car batteries are not designed to go flat nor are they designed to be overcharged (ie they will need the charger checking to ensure that it is switched off once the charge is reached), their life is reduced everytime this happens.

Both will work and if you get Car batteries for free then they will work but to buy, go for a leisure battery :)

Solar panels do help extend the period of 'zapping' but at this time of year batteries need more regular charging, if you can try and get two batteries and change on a regular (fortnightly ish) basis but only charging up the new battery the night before x
