Hi,
So this is probably a really stupid question, but maybe I should have paid more attention in science at school!! So, for an elcetric fence to work it needs to be a circuit, yes?! So does that mean it has to join back up where it started to make it complete?
This is what we were going to do with the field and just wanted to know whether it would work

|\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
| \ |- Hedge
| \
| \ \- elcetric fence
| \
| \
|\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

So, will this work, as it dosent complete back to the start? or will I need to put fencing infront of the hedge aswell?

Thankyouu to anyone who can help

As Amymay says ^^
Yes your plan looks fine, i have a single strip of fencing to keep my lami prone in.
The only time it will make a circuit is when your horse touches it!

The 'circuit' is made with the earth, which is why if you have battery energiser it has spikes on the bottom ;) :D

If your energizer hasn't got an earth rod you will have to buy one seperately, this is essential for it to work properly.
The circuit will only be made when your horse (or you!) touch it. Or indeed any thing that conducts electricity, so make sure no branches/fence posts (that aren't plastic) are touching the tape. :)
