Electric Fencing: Is this a good deal?

Looking for electric fencing...
In total i need:
400m of electric tape 40mm width
40 4ft post
4 gate handles
4 insulators/gate anchors

I have found this on Paddock Perfection...

If i buy two sets i will get all the tape and all the posts i need...

Does this sound like a good deal to you? Do you know of any better deals?

Just going with plastic posts as its not my land. Not ideal but i dont want to go putting anything too permanent in.
 
Worth getting some 3inch round 5 or 6ft posts to bang in for the corners & gateway - will really help tension it all. Easy to go in the ground at the moment with a sledgehammer & easy to yank out if/when you move.
You'll want to get a pack of tape holders to nail/screw onto the posts but they will save you a lot of strife in very windy weather :)
 
yeah im kinda jealous of that deal... i must have about £300 worth but i have 30 5ft posts, with 400mtrs of tape (triple stranded 20mm) 15 4ft posts and about 30 3ft posts then 600 mtres of tape (20mm) 20 of the extra long screw in insulators but now im feeling a bit sad about having cut and tied so much together... and it never wraps back up very well :( my fencing is a mess at the moment!

Do you mean wooden posts?
 
Yes FF does mean wooden posts and her suggestion is a really good one. It would still work out pretty cheap with the deal you've found for the 40mm tape and posts and give a lot more security and robustness.

Robinsons do a cheap bag of insulators for the wooden posts.
