So at my new yard Springy will have her own field which I am going to strip graze to keep her trim. I need to buy all the electric fencing from scratcth and don't really know where to begin and what is a good price!

So tips please! Is it cheaper to buy a kit or the bits individually? Any brands or companies to trust/avoid? What battery is best? She is a big girl and I want to make sure she respects the fencing so it needs to give her a good zap should she touch it!

Any advice/recommendations appreciated! Thanks

You'd be better off getting a kit to start off with, and then adding to it with single elements (i.e. more tape and posts) as necessary.
farmcare.co.uk are very reasonable, and I think they've got some offers on at the moment...

From what you want to do, i.e. strip graze it may be best to get a kit to start with. You need to work out how much length of fencing you want to electrify & that way you'll know which charger to get. Yoiu must remember that if folliage touches your rope/tape then a certain amount of charge will be lost.

Here is a link to a document that may help you on your decision making.
