ive been looking into getting some electric fencing, to start partioning off a paddock for the sh!tlands, im pretty clueless about it, so i was wondering if you kind peeps can let me know if the below is a good deal if i will need to buy anything else or if you can recomend something better
zap 5 energiser
9v dry battery
200m megatape
gate handle with tape connector
x20 110cm posts
x2 end fittings
x1 electric fence sign
for £127.51

thanks

What about a couple of wooden posts that you can bang into the ground and use at either end...you need something sturdy at either end to keep the tape taught otherwise it will start to loosen off in the slightest of breezes. I have hedges bordering my field so just tie the end electric fence posts to a sturdy branch instead.

the electric part will be a L shape to the existing part of the fence to hedges, to make a small paddock, i like the idea of the one from ebay, i think i will investigate it further

I just bought a starter kit and it was £99 +vat with all that you have mentioned. Ditto the wooden posts at either end and the corner tho to take the strain - oh and don't do what I did and get zapped - it will work if you hear the ticking and ur arm will be numb!!! doh!!!
