Please can anyone recommend the best place to look for electric fencing (Im thinking of the sturdier green stuff you can get if that makes sense!)
Also, would anyone have an idea of how much it would cost for about 450 metres of this?

Thanks in advance

I got my first lot of fencing from scats, only to find later that it was far cheaper from various dealers on eBay! ever since then eBay has been my go to place for yard accessories like fencing, hooks, tie-rings ect :)

I get mine from Mole Valley Farmers. Just a couple of points, though...the wide tape has a lot of wind resistance, it bows like a sail and makes the posts loose, and green tape doesn't show up very well, the horses need to be able to see it, so white is safer.

I read somewhere recently (can't for the life of me remember where) that horses see green easier than white. Puzzling I know.

I used Farmcare for mine. Excellent service and competitive prices.

I get mine from Agri-supply, they have an ebay shop - good prices and speedy delivery. I have always used green tape, both the 40mm and the 20mm stuff and have never had a problem.

I pay about £38 for 400m of the 20mm green tape.

Thanks for this. Assume 40mm is better as thicker? How does it come when you order it. Do you get 2 rows of tape, one for top of posts and one for bottom, if im explaining that properly?!
Im struggling to understand why this is so much cheaper! Have just had a quote of around £9,000 for post and rail and this was my second option, how come it is sooo much cheaper?!
As you can probably tell I've never done this before!

I guess what I'm wondering is if the electric tape is secure enough to have as the outer fencing, or should it only really be used for internal partitions??
