Naughty horse with a long neck thinks the grass is greener on the other side :( he keeps popping the rails, and he knows he can. So we need some electric fencing to stop this. Need to cover 2 ends of the field, about 60m each. I have posts and tape already but I'd appreciate recommendations for battery and Energizers, preferably cheap as I'll need 2 and anything else I will need.
I already have a battery charger.

If you have a charger I'm guessing your thinking 12v batteries. Leisure batteries are best, I get mine from Halfords. Car batteries work but they won't last if you run them till their flat, you really need to keep swapping and charging them every few days for them to have a long life. I have a couple of old car batteries as backups that were free so I don't mind killing them.

For an energiser I love these https://www.screwfix.ie/p/stockshop-bx140-electric-fence-energiser-battery-powered/2033f
as their compact all in one units and I like the fence quality indicator light.

If price is an issue and they aren't going to move you'd probably be better off with something like this though https://m.ebay.ie/itm/Electric-Fence-Energiser-12V-PLB02-0-2J-Fencer-Unit-/292745247530. I have one as a spare and it's fine once it's all set up, needs to be attached to a fence post and you'll need earth stakes of some kind.

The higher the jule rating the bigger the crack the horse gets. Not cheap cheap but we bought the voss one it kicks out 7.8 jules which was the highest rating I could afford. It runs on both mains and battery. Sirus 8 is the one we bought. We have mains. The old electric shepherd ones also pack a punch they are battery operated

If your field isn't hugely long it might be cheaper to go with 1 energiser and connect it to both bits of fence with insulated lead out cable (or just electric tape or rope)
It's good to have 2 batteries anyway, so you can keep the spare charged up
