Overhead ones........... What would happen if they came down in storm and killed horses within field - didn't happen, but they did come down in same field.......

Would electricity company pay up for lost, or would own insurance pay????

i would hope electricity company BUT you never know???

I suppose if it was an 'act of god' like lightning or excessive wind and not the electricity companies fault - they were in good order and not faulty. I bet they would not pay.
I wonder if they have a policy regarding livestock as pylons and cables run over lots of fields?
It might be worth contacting them to find out.

Glad your horses were not hurt.

Did in end cos i thought car are insultated cos you can survive lightening strikes...............

errrrrrrrrrr i could be dafter.............

then when back down lane as need to go out in horsebox....... so drove over again twice just to make sure..... at this point did think i was going to make entry into 'The Darwin Awards', but fine...

When i got back in afternoon and electricity folk trying to fix, so did go and ask them and they said it had shorted out....... and if still live it would have been ok to drive over cos of tyres!!!.

That's good to know.

If I am ever confronted with one on the road, I will know it is safe to drive over!

knowing my luck my rickety old car would have something metal hanging off it and I would have a one way ticket to the Darwin awards!!!
