Off out for the first time this year and we've made the big (well it feels like it!) step up from Novice to Elementary. :D

We went to Hunters cos Dom is usually pretty chilled there and it was nicely overcast (sunlight is one of his headshaking triggers).

We were chuffed to bits to be joined by Gazehound who is just as lovely in the flesh as she is on-line! :)

Dom and Mike went to warm up with all the big boys and girls and worked in very nicely and then came out to do Ele 53.

Dom did a nice test, fairly consistent but a little hurried in places. He also tried to sneak a naughty stride of spanish walk in at the end of his reinback but the less said about that the better! ;)

He came out absolutely dripping wet - a combination of rain and sweat and said that it had been quite hard work.

We (the humans) then did the traditional sitting and eating and drinking whilst waiting for scores. I was very pleased with the little horse when we found he'd got 60.88% - mostly 6s with five 7s (and 3 5s but we won't mention those!) - so got his first point at elementary.

All in all a very good day. :)

Many thanks as ever to the lovely Mike and Folara for driving - and to Gazey for coming and supporting.

A couple of awful pictures (well it was raining!)
