Elementary tests BD - sitting trot

Pls can someone tell me what the rules are now for Elementary sitting trot? Thought it was compulsory?

What happens if you do some/all rising? Is it disqualification?

at elementary you can now rise the rules were changed a few years ago initially to allow rising for the medium trots only and then more recently to allow rising for the entire test

Edit to say penalty depends on the judge to be honest I think (no rule book to hand!) back in my pony years friend who now a very top dressage rider half way through an elementary test started doing rising trot for the rest of the test. She was given a few errors of course but was it and no it wasn't because of who she was as at that time she was only really starting out and was equally as unknown as me (and i remain equally unknown to this day

all elementaries although some of the old versions will say to be done in sitting trot on the back if printed before rule change. All current prints will say can be ridden in sitting or rising on all tests

also if unaffil should still follow BD rules therefore any elementary test whether still in use by BD or not should be able to be ridden sitting or rising!

.............. and you can mix sitting and rising throughout the test as you see fit. That applies to Novice and Prelim too.
