Hello,
I know some lovely people sent me links to some websites that detailed the stages of pregnancy and the signs of iminent birth. I can search on other peoples posts but not on my user name for some odd reason !
Can you just remind me we have a sunken rump, saggy dropped but not a fully filled udder and now this past few days a really long loose looking vulva. Apart from waxing up what more will happen before she has her foal? I was looking at ESH's post last year and my mare is maiden and has a very similar udder to what hers had 9 days prior to foaling ( eek)
I am trying to partition off an area of the corral for my gelding because the field is under an inch of water and also am trying to wean them off their rugs ( off in the day and on at night) But the weather isn't really the best for trying to achieve this! I have used sheep gates and tried to put them up as securely as possible but am not convinced they will work. So they are still together at the moment and again reading previous posts people refer to horror stories of mares foaling in the company of gelding but do not divulge any more ( even bigger eek !)
Oh roll on the summer and the grass growing then I can stop worrying so much about EVERYTHING !!
