So today was the day both the physio and vet came together to see Elvis. They agreed he was sticky behind on the lunge, and worse with a saddle on. Although they both agree he'd be considered sound.
The physio then felt the same 'issue' area, and sadly there's been no improvement, he was just as reactive.
So then X-rays, basically he has two spinal processes that are a bit too close, not touching (so not technically kissing spines) but there was evidence of some irritation (whiter areas on the spinal processes)
On the face of it this is a good result, but it's a bit of something of nothing, there isn't much we can do, just proper exercise, lots of physio and maybe steroid injections. And despite the close spinal processes being in the same area as Elvis is reacting, there is no guarantee that they are causing it.
I guess I just feel a bit deflated, we've just got to keep on doing what we are doing, and hope that he starts to feel a bit better.
