Well here goes... My two year old miniature colt Inky seems to love "playing" with his willy. He doesn't do it when excited and there doesnt have to be any horses about at all, let alone mares. He does it whilst dozing when he is tied up. What he does is he lets his willy hang out then makes it hard and bangs it against his belly. He still doesnt get "excited" and just stands there sleepy. He sometimes "pushes" it towards his front legs and he has on the odd occassion managed to actually push it to between his front legs by almost sitting down!! He then quite unashamadly seems to ejaculate on the floor

Yep!! It's normal. It's called 'loafing' in my neck of the woods. Lots of geldings do it too (although not the ejaculating bit, of course

) - they seem to find it very relaxing. Nowt much you can do except hope he keeps it away when you've got visitors looking on!

yes its natures way of getting rid of whats not needed........

would like to ask if anyone knows what the detrimental effects of placing a jock strap on a stallion would have. I know someone that used one to prevent their stallion doing it as they said it distracted him from his work and caused him to loose condition

Oh my god KenRehill you know what everyone will call you from now on, starts with a W and ends in ER.

I am not sure if they use it now, but the old boys use to put a ring on their stallion's willy to stop them from doing that because they do lose condition if it becomes a habit!!!

Think they were deemed 'pollution rings'.

Trouble was that once removed the colt had got so used to not being able to use it for what Nature intended they sometimes took much persuasion to cover a mare as it had been painful when the ring was on.

LOL! Yes, I've never been able to work out why it's called 'loafing' around here. It probably has some sick connotation which goes straight over my head (thankfully!)

My Gelding does that - one of my OH's mates followed me to the field when my car broke down the other day to make sure I got there safely, and spooks chose that as a good time so show him what he could do with his!!

Luckily my OH met us there so I could dissapear and leave them to discuss his capabilities!!
