Where can I get some resonably priced rugs (show rugs) and embroidered from?

Have had a look on Equiport and they look gorgeous but with embroiderey they are around £90 each!

And I will need to get 2!

Would like to get some new show rugs in my colours! Am also trying to persuade my mum to get our new lorry in my colours as well!

Why embroider when you can go to a crafts shop and pick up some felt in your colours, stencil it out and then sew onto rugs; it's what we used to do - and also how firms like Giddens, Moss Bros. did it in when everyone had initialled day/show rugs; they weren't embroidered then. Much cheaper too but still look as good.

My friend has his own embroidery company and does all our stuff at HUGE discount! (usually a pint)

Move to Leics, I'll get him to do all yours too..........!!!

Have a look at sew designs website. Not sure of their web address but think they advertise in most of the horsey mags. They do what look to be nice wool day rugs with embrodery.

The cheapest way may be to source the rugs you want and take them to a local embroidery place. Try looking in the local yellow pages under embroidery designers, they may be prepared to work on clean new rugs and be reasonably priced. I had the Premier Equine fleece rugs in navy with white piping and red binding embrodered up (embrodery in white to match the piping). They look very smart and dont think it cost too much for the embrodery despite being a big detailed logo.
