Scanning back through some posts of a few days ago I saw someone requesting a saddlecloth with a particular horse brand embroidered on to it.

The easiest way is to have it done your self ! For an embroider you put your logo onto anything - saddlecloth, polo shirt, jacket they need the logo digitised into a certain format ie DST. Most shops will offer a digitising service but they will charge heavily for it - normally per 1000 stitches.

Find out what format they use with their software - most are DST. and then send a jPeg of the logo you want embroidered to a digitiser.
I always use Golden Finishes www.digit4gold.com. They will digitise your logo into the required format and will charge per 1000 stitches but as it is direct it is a lot cheaper. You can do it all online as well.

Once you have your digitised logo either put it on disc to the embroider or email it across and get them to quote.

This is then your design and does not belong to the embroider! and you can use it and email it to several embroiders to find one that gives a good quote.

This way you can make up your own logo's or add text and or flags or whatever !
