As title really. Bloody idiot horse has pulled off his nearside front shoe and apptly half his hoof too! Obviously he has no idea its a bank holiday weekend but could he have picked a worse time? Especially as our usual farrier is away in Germany! Poor boy is everso lame without a shoe on so I really need someone as soon as poss really. I've been on the Farriers registrary and found a guy named Tom Farmer from Tick fen in Chatteris. Just wondered if anyone on here has heard of him and would recommed him. Any other name suggestions would also be appreciated. thanks everyone.
 
Take who ever will come out!

Its a bank holiday so you may have to ring a few.

Even if the farrier who does come out isnt the best in the world they are unlikely to do any long term damage just putting the shoe back on for you.

Emergency farriery can be undertaken by any farrier and i wouldnt be too concerned over a recommendation for a once off.

I hope you get someone out soon!
 
Cheers for that! I hoped someone would say what I thought already, that too much damage couldn't be done just putting the shoe back on. I have contacted the guy I mentioned earlier and he's coming tomorrow afternoon Yipee!!!
 
I am sure he will be just fine and do a good job. :) we all take the same exams after all. we should all be doing the same quality of work. Anyway i am assuming you will be there
