Action for dogs are hosting a two day seminar with Marc Bekoff in June 2012 (not exactly soon I know, but some of us have to plan and save a bit to get to these things :D). He's published some very interesting research and books over the years on canine behaviour, and animal behaviour in general.

I recently attended a similar two day seminar at the same campus with Patricia McConnell speaking. It was a fun weekend and the campus and lecture room (I'm assuming it's the main one again) are frankly very posh in my humble opinion. :D I met lots of lovely people too.

Just thought I'd mention it in case the speaker or topic were of interest to anyone. (It states it's focused on trainers and behaviourists, as did the last one, but there's bound to be a mix of students and people attending to satisfy their own interest in the subject.) :)

oo thank you for that - in scotland and on a weekend :)

Aye a lot of the people attending last time round commented on how nice it was to have something hosted in Scotland, rather than central and southern England. :) I had never been to Scotland before so attempted to make a weekend of it, but with only evenings free and travelling alone I spent most of my time in my hotel room vegging out. Will have to make more of an effort next year.

The biggest adventure I had was walking from Craiglockhart back to Haymarket. Think I had to ask directions five times, I'd wandered to the outskirts of Edinburgh and was facing some very attractive and hilly looking countryside at one point :D Looked dead simple on google maps. :o:p
