EMS and metformin

My mini has tested positive for EMS at 300 and as well as management changes vet has advised metformin and retesting in 6 weeks. She has advised 7 tablets twice a day. Has anyone experience of ems and / or metformin .

My Shetland who is 7 has ems she is now on 5 500mg a day metformin. She wouldn't eat the dose the vet gave me. Since being on this she has lost weight and only has one lot of lami. Last bloods were positive. She is fed fast fibre with her meds.

Mine was on 17 tablets daily. I pulversied them in a coffee grinder to get him to take it. His insulin went from over 300 to 4.2 in 10 months.
I believe you can now get it in a powdered form.
