My vet suspects my horse has EMS and wants to do a test for it, could anyone tell me a bit more about it & how much it cost them? Vet gave an estimate of £170 but not sure if should go through insurance or not as would this exclude him for any future ems related things? It is the test where they feed glucose then take the blood rather than just a blood sample...not sure if just need the blood test as first port of call as have read up the glucose test is if blood test is inconclusive? Thanks!
