Just an update. Thank you to all who helped out when Equine Market Watch Sanctuaries UK took this mare, Viuga ( Paris) on July 7th 2012. She has since gained a total 85 kilo and is continuing to improve. Her hoof integrity is much better and her scars and sores are all gone now. She had excellent foster care with Lianne and supervised by our Field Officer Michelle and overseen by Veterinary Surgeon Lisa Durham until coming to sanctuary on August 26th. Although she is an elderly mare she has no underlying health issues whatsoever. Her quality of life is our concern and we can assure you we will not let her down however long her time with us at her final home will be. The album showing her gradual recover is here and she is mentioned most evenings in our blog along with news of all of our sanctuary residents and issues. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150965716907409.418942.300456442408&type=3
