Endurance piccies

I'm very lucky to have the ride on a very nice ginger mare, and her owner does endurance, so last year I gave it a bash- did Barbury Castle in glorious sunshine (Grade 1) & Firle Park in torrential rain (Grade 2).
Then we've just done Chobham Common training ride last weekend in murky weather. Have to say glad it wasn't my first ride, for a training ride I found it quite challenging in terms of route & ground wasn't too fab in terms of being able to get into a good rhythm. But it's all good practice. And after some marginal break issues I think we will be making sure she has her competition bit packed rather than training snaffle packed up next time!

Lovely pics, and good to see another person doing endurance stuff!

Our planned first ride of the year has been cancelled, so our season will start a little later...which is ok, as the pony is still very round.
