OK so I've got a synthetic endurance bridle which came with my loan mare, and I need to buy a replacement set of reins to match the bridle.

Problem is........ when you go onto any endurance kit website and look under "bridles/tack/reins" etc; there's a choice of colours and then it says "BETA" and then "Biothane".

The bridle I have is in a plain colour: it isn't the neon/translucent type of plastic, its just a plain block colour.

So - any endurance peeps on here?

Which is which? Is BETA and Biothane the same thing? If buying in a plain colour, say purple, what difference would it make to buy one or the other. I don't want to get a funny colour-match and don't know which the bridle I have is!!

Hope someone can enlighten me?

I can't remember which way around it goes either, but I use black nylon reins on my synthetic Zilco bridle. Not sure I would use a different colour though.
