Energy giving feeds - bit of advice please

Okay i cant use mixes, he is currently on Alfa a, baileys outshine, speedibeet, foot supplement and electrolytes. But is like a donkey. Nothing wrong with him. Would a balancer give him more energy or do i try a low starch feed. Any toughts anyone thank you.

Has he always been like a donkey?
If so I don't think any feed apart from adding some oil to his diet will work. esp is you can't feed a mix ( I used to use Spillers instant energy mix) You would need to start off with a small amount and then increase it. Soya oil is supposed to be good for energy.
