Entered my first Dressage competition!! Scared!!

I've entered my first ever dressage competition for this saturday! And I'm s-c-a-r-e-d!!
Ok, so it's only with my local riding club, but it's still a big thing for me. I've never done dressage before and Molly certainly hasn't!
I actually organise the dressage competitions for the riding club, but have never actually done one myself!
I was just going to do the W&T Intro B test but am going to make a fool out of myself and do the Prelim 1 too!
I was up this morning at 5.15am practising! And will do everyday until saturday!

you'll be fab! I was so nervous before my first dressage comp. We did w&t b and a prelim one (despite canter being hit and miss at best!), and we won our w&t!!! Couldn't believe it! 5 months before my mare couldn't even trot and neither of us had ever done a dressage comp. It was also the first time we had travelled her. You will love it! Try and stay chilled (easy to say now, but I was bricking it at the time!), you will love it! Loads of luck!

All I can say is go and enjoy, stay relaxed and try to smile!! (easier said than done!!) I never did dressage until my back went jumping! I did a few tests, still wasn't sure, then had lessons and now I absolutley love it, so much to learn. Good luck and enjoy!!

Do you have anyone who can call for you .... even if you know the test I think it helps to keep you both chilled!!

Don't be scared - just enjoy!

Says me!!! I am the biggest wuss when it comes to going out to comps, and I am always full on pooing myself before I go! But you will enjoy it once you get going I'm sure! Good luck

I enterd my first dressage test a few weeks ago, spent the whole of the night before, wide awake with worry, couldnt eat my breakfast etc etc, got in the arena only to find out I had learnt the wrong test, great start to my dressage career (I did laugh about it afterwards). I've been racing round x-country courses and SJ courses for years but couldnt do a dressage test for toffee.lol. Typical.
