entering first BD comp

eekk.... I've decided to take the plunge and take horsey out to a BD event just down the road from me, only prelim stuff mind.

But how do I enter? I spoke to BD, and they said that you dont need a ticket to enter prelim? Do I just send the entry form and payment to the organisers?

I think there is an entry form on the BD website... just fill in and send I suppose, like a "regular" unaff. competition!

Yes on a bit of paper is normally fine, just ensure that you put you are in the open section.
This means that you/horse are not registered and that you cannot qualify for anything.
To qualify you have to be in the restricted section and this means being a member,a group 7/8 rider and with a horse on less than 37 pts.
