Is it possible to go into business with another, the one supplying the equipment, land, capital, etc. and the other the skill and experience, without the inevitable falling out? Before you ask, this is strictly business, no romance involved at all.

Have you done it and did it work for you? What are the snags? And are there any agencies out there that can advise on the legal/financial side of things besides banks and solicitors?

Of course it can be done & can be done successfully however one of the main issues can be if the parties are of the opposite sex as this sometimes can cause jealousy/suspicion to the business partners other halves. If there is this aspect starting to show then nip it in the bud immediately because unless everyone trusts eachother then there could be trouble in the future. There are enough worries when starting up a business without having the additional problem.

As for the legal & financial issues then Citizens Advice may be able to help but really a solicitor or Bank advisor would probably be best as they specialise in these issues & C.A.B are jack of all trades.

Good Luck in your venture.

I know a big equestrian centre near us that runs like this. He provided most of the capital (I think) and organises maintenance and finances, she runs the successful livery and riding school. Its probably a good thing as a lot of people aren't good at finances, and those that are can be mean with the school needs.. I would imagine it would have to have a very good contract that is gone through with a fine tooth comb.
