My horse came down with lami about 10days ago. Luckily there was no rotation, just the initial inflammation. She was put on a strict diet of soaked hay & kept in the menage 24/7. At first she was reluctant to move so keeping her entertained wasnt required, however she is now feeling much better, is completely sound on hard ground, shes turned into a terror. She has always been a very foodie horse & can get quite aggressive when she doesnt get her own way (related to hormone imbalances). So are there any ways to make her life more exciting? She has soaked hay 4x per day in small amount, which as shes bored of it seems to almost act like ad lib even though its only 4slices & shes a 15hh cob! She has a big pilates ball & a horseball, both of which are now boring! What else can I try that doesnt include food? I know its going to be the fencing that takes the brunt of her frustrations next!
Sorry for the waffling, hot choccie to those that got to the end! & thanks in advance!
