I did mine today - can't wait!

The entries close on the 10th, If you get the chance go - it's a really nice show - but they do check vets certs so horses jabs need to be up to date.

What are you jumping ?

I take it you've been before from your comment about the vaccs ? It's a new thing on me....and i'm guessing competition will be tough / entries large ?

I did think about going last year, but parents couldn't get the time off to go with me. It is meant to be quite a nice show but you do get lots there and competition is very fierce. Good luck.

Oooh that looks really cool- seems complicated though.

It is too close to Blue Chip for me though as I am jumping on the Tuesday and Wednesday (if the entries still go in- only sent them last week as had no money

).

Thought you had qualified too Rambo? Or am I getting it totally wrong!

. Or are you doing both?

I'll have one horse in each section.

I've been the last two years. The first year the entries were quite low as it wasn't very well advertised. Second year was a bit busier probably 50 in a class (very rough guess). Competition wise it is like most shows some very good - some not so good. Last year in the smaller classes you had to be reasonably quick to place, but in the grand prix the courses were technical so a double clear guarenteed some money.

No....you're right....we had qualified. Just decided that Birmingham is a hell of a long way to go to jump one championship with a horse that wasn't going to be competitive, and a 1m warm-up with a horse that is better suited to 1.10m+. This way we get 3 days jumping for both of the horses at heights that better suit them....and there is no pressure on Trike to perform as he's just coming along for the ride really and anything he does is a bonus

Good luck at the BC's though :0

That's good ! Bo is much more of a 'jumper' than a 'speed demon' lol! Big and technical suits us fine

Trike won't be competitive in the Small Tour unfortunately, but it will be fun to take him anyway

Well without a doubt this show looks like a brill subsitute!

Looks like it will be intensive jumping, suppose you have to get your money's worth out of the £150.00 entry fee. You have more guts than me- it is bad enough jumping for me and the horsey, let alone to get selected for a team= pressure!!!

Do you know how they will work the nations cup thingy- who does the selection and is it like normal nations cups when you have jump each others horses? I would really stuffed because my horsey is the only one I trust to jump bigger stuff!

Jolly good luck let us know how you get on.

Just hope we get a stable for Blue Chip!

Good luck to you

LOL!

I doubt i'll be troubling the selectors too much

I believe it will be scored on a league basis from the qualifying rounds on friday and saturday though

You don't have to ride other horses in a Nations Cup though.....that's just in the World Games individual final

Ahhh thank you Rambo!

I would quake in my boots at the thought of having to jump someone else's horse!

Looks really cool though- would be nice to be able to go out and jump a small grand prix. My horse would be great at that, he is no speed horse!

May be they may do something similar later on- we are booked up for the rest of the summer really. You have loads of fun and come back with some money!

looks good Rambo, I hope it goes well
I dont have a small open speed demon any more - retired him a couple years ago, so theres no point me going!
