Due to a 'downturn' in business after the 2010 Olympics the owners of Outdoor Adventures in Whistler BC ordered the deaths of 100 sled dogs. Rather than have a vet humanely euthanize them, one employee was sent out to shoot them and slit their throats. More details here:

Boycott this company and it's parent company Intrawest, they own a number of resorts.

You can just imagine the kind of stress he is under. I was reading the "Statement of Claim" yesterday on the internet and the details are truly horrifying. Basically he killed these dogs one at a time in front of each other! If that doesn't give you nightmares I don't know what would.

Currently in whistler. Shocked and upset by this news. Went on one of these sledding tours several years agoand was assured thatthey had arrangements for dogs at retirement. Tv cameras outsifde hotel and heavy coverage in local and national media. Just sounecceasyand greedy.

Disgusting. It is so upsetting to read these accounts. I have posted a link on my FB page - it gives a few more details of the nature of the killings. Just thought more people should know of the horror really and then they may think twice before using this company.
