Thanks to everyone who posted advice and information. Just to update, my epileptic cat has tested positive for toxoplasmosis (sheep poo infection) and is treatable with antibiotics. Only four weeks of pills to make him take!

wonderful news. hope for a speedy recovery and back to normal. has the vet given you a pill popper? it does make life easier getting them down the throat!

I've just been googling it and it's not from sheep poo, though the vet told us that it was. It's from raw mice and birds. I must tell us to let him cook them before he eats them again!

We bought a pill popper!

good luck and skill still required, and eventually 2 of you versus one cat and a large bath towel!! or some raw liver, fish or tasty cheese for cat indulgence incl pill!!
