Epithelial Dystrophies

Further to a previous post regarding this condition -I have done more research regarding the diagnosis of an extra layer of cells on the cornea of my horses eyes and I believe it is called a epithelial dystrophie. Any one out there able to help me with this further please? Human/equine eye specialists, doctors, or vets, medical students, anyone??? Does this condition affect the eye sight in either human or equine?

I dont know, but the forum expert on eyes is Box_of_Frogs. She normally comes on about 11pm - PM her, she is very helpful and if she cant help, she will put you in the right direction.
