Would be great if you can share your opinions on these please! Specifically looking at the dark bay pack.

From what I've seen they are highly rated but would like thoughts please before dishing out £100 for some brushes!

They look to be possibly rebranded HAAS brushes but happy to be corrected on that

I have a set of HAAS brushes and they are fantastic, they are however not a miracle in the way they are often portrayed but are simply very good quality brushes that produce good results - elbow grease is still required!

My two observations:

They don't have to be bought as a set, I built my collection over a couple of years, you do not need to be encouraged to buy the whole lot to get good results

HAAS brushes are available individually and in sets from many places nowadays, Eqclusive do not have the monopoly on them, are not necessarily the cheapest and have not always painted themselves in a good light

I got mine from a range of sources including Eqclusive and have found the most helpful and knowledgable to be a company called Polished Ponies

Exactly what WelshD said. They're great, but not magic on my mostly white coloured. I bought the 'grey pack' but separately, and would also recommend Polished Ponies for their service and delivery time.

I agree with WelshD and forever broke. I have three Haas brushes (bought from Polished Ponies) because I didn't think I needed the really soft, fluffy one (Diva?). I have a dark bay (almost black), I use the following Haas brushes: Cavaliere, Lippizaner and Parcour.

Another one agreeing WelshD.
The funny thing is I am sure my diva mare knows the difference. I tend to use the HAAS brushes for special occasions and cheaper for everyday. She looks very pleased with herself when the posh ones come out. She is grey and I do think the brush especially for greys does make a difference.

After picking up a couple locally to give them a go, I got the rest of the "chestnut" set. I got mine from EquiZone and ones I tend to go to generally are the Diamond gloss and the new generation curry comb - mare "presents" and shifts around (particularly now she's shedding) to ensure I give her a good all over scratch with the curry. Shimmel is good for getting mud off legs, but with a very particular mare not sure she'll tolerate that being used on her body, as she thinks the Military is too hard for her! As others have said, very good quality, but you do still have to put in some elbow grease, but do get rewarded for the effort with these brushes.

They're great quality brushes but can usually be bought separately cheaper. I have 3 out of the 4 from the bay pack - Military, Cavaliere and Fellglanzburste, I didn't feel I needed the Diva (fluffy one, Griffin is correct) as I get enough of a polish from the Fellglanzburste.

I bought two of my three from www.topoftheclops.co.uk and would recommend.

I wouldn't buy from eqclusive unless they had a good deal on. I got mine from craftywear on a 30% off deal. Mine is the chestnut pack with the hard brush for greys and i like them. Certainly not miracle workers and having tested on a dirty great this weekend she would have certainly been better with a bath. They still require a fair bit of work like any brush.

However i mostly flick over with the first two from the chestnuts pack and use the third on a show day for pretty good results, i have used the fluffy one once and didn't find much extra shine from it. Overall not a miracle worker but well made brushes that are easy to use and the horses like them.

I bought a set from eqlusive only because there was a special offer with 1 brush free. Am sure you could buy cheaper as others say. My horse loves the new generation curry comb, he’d let me use it on his bum till my arms dropped off. Diva fluffy brush doesn’t seem to do much other than a gentle sweeping over his face sends him to sleep.

They're Haas brushes sold in sets by eqclusive. Eqclusive are a strange company, I know the woman who runs it came on here and created multiple accounts to try to sell her products.
They're good brushes, but they're not worth eqclusive prices. Eqclusive claim that they're the only ones who can sell these magical brushes, this is not true. They are retailed in Europe by USG and are available at better prices from other retailers, and on amazon.

Personally I've found you don't need a whole pack and you don't have to purchase for colour. My favorite is the schimmel for my black mares winter coat. It's a coconut fibre brush so quiet harsh but good for a wooly mammoth. Eqclusive tell me I can't use this on a black horse as it will be too harsh, it's a fab brush..
This summer I've used the Military to get all dust and dirt off, followed by the Parcour which gives a lovely shine.
I have the curry comb which is amazing, used to clean the horse and the brushes as I go along.

I bought from Ecqlusive as they had a special offer and the cost was the same as from polished ponies but with 2 extras - mane and tail and curry comb. It was nice they came in a box until bay tb #1 decided to eat it.

The curry comb is worth getting as it's the only semi hard thing mr sensitive bay tb v2.0 will tolerate and it has a bendiness that means I can use it for getting mud off legs.

I got the light bay chestnut pack (Military, Cavaliere, Fellglanzburste/gloss and Diva. He is so thin skinned that even the Military I have to go easy with and he actually loves the Diva.

I like the little plastic carry boxes you can get from Ecqlusive as they are just the right size to carry the brushes but no bigger and good for taking to shows when you want something small and portable, not sure if the other suppliers sell it.

Agree with lots of the responses above, HAAS are great brushes but you really only need a couple and can by the cheaper elsewhere.

Sorry to hijack OP but can anyone tell me are the Alan Davies brushes Haas ones? They don't seem to be marketed by colour and as I have a black, a bay, a chestnut and a skewbald and wondered if they were a better bet?

Was just reading this thread thinking that very same thing. I got the Alan Davies set from this company and they seem to be similar to haas ones that I’ve seen too but they aren’t sold as for certain colours. Anyway. Like haas, I really like these brushes, they are good quality and do clean my poo monster well and he’s got a nice shine now and the only change is the brushes.

Love mine. Not sure I buy into the colour coded as my chestnut set works well on bright bay and dark brown horse! Good quality though and really bring a shine up.
