Does anyone have any experience of this system? Ridden on it/ seen one/ Own one?

I've just got off the telephone from a very helpful advisor & I'm actually quite excited about this. It sounds ideal for my site (flat, reasonably draining) & the best bit....she thinks this system will come in under half the cost of what I've been quoted for a traditionally built manège :)
Basically the premise is that instead of digging out loads of internal drainage ditches & needing tons of drainage aggregate there are band drains within a membrane system.

I'm getting all excited that I might get my arena before the end of the year now.
[awaits the hundreds of replies waxing lyrical about the arena system] :D

I have never heard of the system so cannot comment specifically, but just be a bit careful with membrane, as I know of several schools (one of mine included) where the membrane came up through the surface in several places so it all had to be pulled up.

Thank you Polotash, definitely something to think about....if the membrane comes up, with the drainage being part of it, it will make the arena useless.

Is the equicushion the springy surface made of foam etc? If so I saw one that was just pure surface (no sand) and IMO it was dreadful. When I walked on it it felt to me like trying to walk on a trampolene, yes it was springy buy personally I felt it offered no support, I would not have wanted to work my horses on it. Mixed with the correct sand it may be a very different story
