Equestrian Direct payment of open claims?

has anyone actually had any payment of an open & accepted claim from ED since they were passed on to Templeton? Last I heard, my claim, previously accepted by ED was being reassessed & though not a large amount outstanding I may need to claim more.

I think everything was sent to the new loss adjusters, Equine First, to be reassessed. I have just opened a claim and when I asked Equine First how long it would take they said "longer than they would like because they were having to look at all of the claims from Templeton first but not as long as they have been taking recently with ED"...

Ring ED (or whatever they are called now) and create some fuss.

I managed to get my last claim paid just before the official take over / sell off so I think I was lucky. I waited months though and as I'd paid the vet already on my credit card, I had to threaten to invoice them every month for the interest accrued and that I would ask Barclaycard to chase them for the money on my behalf... they paid up two days later

I wouldn't use them again, or at least I wouldn't use this new company who have taken over the ED client base. I just find that all they want to do is complain about how badly run ED was...I don't care about that, I just want you to handle my claims efficiently and quickly

I am awaiting payment have had lots of phone calls to them they do seem very efficent clearly trying to sort out a very large mess got the feeling not many of them working in that department. however if not heard from them by end of wk will be back in contact. it took 3 months to sort out payment from Ed last year hopr it wontbe as long this time!
