Hello,

I was just curious in how to get into equestrian modelling, like modelling breeches, boots, helmets and such, do I need to have anything specific? Specific height, weight? How would I get started? Thanks!

Happy Riding!

I don't imagine there are such things as 'Equestrian model agencies', I suspect the brands just contact regular modelling agencies and go from there. I suppose being comfortable around horses and being able to sit on one will definitely help.

I think its just done from friends of friends, or staff really. I did a small shoot for something once where I sat on a horse in this waterproof clothing. The lady I knew does location finding for film etc and she just asked me.

Glancing through the catalogues it just looks like the bigger brands use modelling agencies to me. The models hardly look different from what you see in ordinary magazines whether in looks or in build. I doubt most of them are actually riders.

We did all our own modelling for our online tack site.
As we said we wouldn't sell anything we would not be happy to wear.

They use modelling agencies. Bonus points if the model is a rider. Had a friend who was a model and rode too so she snapped up all the Equestrian gigs.
