Hi,

I'm currently looking for a 4.5T horsebox and both Equi-Hunter (based at Fellbridge) and Bloomfield Leisure horseboxes look really good on their websites.

Just wondering if anyone has experiences of either of these companies or could recommend someone else. Please PM if you'd prefer

Many Thanks :)

I have a 3.5t Equihunter and I absolutely love it. It gets noticed wherever I go, it's sturdy and horse travels so well in it. It looks like a mini big lorry, if that makes sense. I have had a Chaigley before and I have a friend who has a Bloomfields, but I think the Equihunter looks so much smarter. I have mine in white and the after sales service is excellent. Just upset that I may have to sell it as horse may be sold lol. Hope that helps

I have just ordered my Bloomfields lorry today sooo excited. We went everywhere to find the best one. My dad is an engineer so very picky! He was not impressed at all with the Equihunter he found the whole thing was very poorly fitted together and the partitions very flimsy but his main problem with all the boxes we saw were the walls between the driver and the horses, only Bloomfields had a proper cage which my dad was so impressed with and they showed him exactly how it was fitted. Which is more than I can say for Alexanders who were nothing but pushy and didn't have a clue when it got technical! And so expensive and we couldn't see why! . Also went to regent and Kevin Parker but wouldn't buy either of those!

Anyway I'd so recommend Bloomfields to anyone and they have been so patient with my dad and with me choosing my paint. Only problem is I have to wait till Feb as they have so many on order :-(

Both are excellent - however Bloomfield told me 16-18month waiting list!

Hi,

I just came back from Bloomfields' workshop (checking up on my new box *smug smile*), and I asked about this. Helen confirmed that for the person quoting 16-18 months, this must be a mis-understanding as the wait list has been more like 6-8 months not 16-18!

This also agrees with Loopylouz who has just ordered one which will be ready in Feb, 9 months not 16.

Like my new chassis, looking forward to the finished box. Tried the new lightweight ramp too, it really was effortless.
