Hello there everybody

I'm hoping you can help. I've been looking for a pair of boots but, as I'm not working, I can't afford much so I've looked at equi leather boots.

Does anyone out there have any knowledge of their fit, wear, etc.? I'd normally buy a 38 wide leg and I know that the Mountain Horse boots would be plenty big enough but I need to order the equi leather from the internet without trying them on first so I'm hoping someone has bought a pair and can tell me if I need to buy a bigger size and how generous the calf width is.

A friend of mine is worried that the boots would rub the leather flaps on my saddle but I don't see how that would happen. I think it would be more likey that the boots would be rubbed.

So.... anyone bought a pair and can tell me what they're like? Are you happy with them? Would you recommend buying them?

I LOVVVVEEEE my equileather boots!! I think the field boots look more professional than the normal ones. They are so comfy and easy to look after, stick them under the tap, let them dry and then spray with back to black vinyl cleaner for a high shine. I've shown at county level with mine and no-one ever knows that they arent leather. Be warned though, they arent waterproof so avoid lots of puddles.

I have never had any problems with them rubbing tack or visa versa, they are really hard wearing but Saxon boots did have a batch with dodgy zips. They broke on 2 pairs of mine but they sent a new pair out straight away.Mine have now lasted all season.Heres a pic of them

What about the fit of them? Did you have to buy a bigger/smaller size than normal? Is the width generous? I have rather large calves.....

I have very wide calves so got a wide boot. Its pretty snug to start with but do loosen, but foot size it pretty much the same
 
Do they do shorter lengths does anyone know? I have wide short calfs, the only things i have found so far to fit ore tredstep gaiters.
